What we investigate
We review the pressure-loss pattern and any checks already made on the boiler and accessible heating fittings. Where the evidence points to pipework, suitable isolation and pressure checks help establish the affected circuit. Thermal imaging, moisture assessment or tracer gas may then help narrow a concealed source. The plumbing repair is followed by appropriate testing.
Signs to tell us about
- Frequent loss of system pressure
- A damp patch near a heating route
- Water loss without an obvious radiator leak
- A pressure problem that returns after topping up
Getting ready for the visit
Note how often the pressure falls and whether it happens when the system is hot, cold or idle. Bring previous engineer findings and identify any underfloor heating or separate zones.
What to expect
Pressure loss is not proof of a hidden pipe leak. Boiler components can also cause pressure problems and may need a suitably qualified heating engineer.
Detection, access and repair
For residential work, the £1,250 package includes investigation, suitable detection methods, access or excavation, the plumbing repair, parts and materials, testing and a report. The repair carries a 12-month workmanship warranty.
We serve homes and businesses across the listed service area. Check the coverage directory and provide the exact postcode before booking. Decorative and remedial reinstatement, including flooring, tiling, plastering and decorating, is separate.
Common questions
What should I prepare for central heating leak detection?
Note how often the pressure falls and whether it happens when the system is hot, cold or idle. Bring previous engineer findings and identify any underfloor heating or separate zones.
What happens after a leak is found?
We explain the access needed, carry out the agreed plumbing repair and test the affected pipework. The residential package includes parts, materials and a report. Reinstatement of finishes is excluded.
